A woman was attacked and indecently assaulted in the grounds of a Catholic boys' college in Hamilton around 4am this morning.
Detective Nicola Cornes, of Hamilton police, said the incident occurred in the grounds of St Johns College in Hillcrest Road.
"She was approached by a man who
after an initial conversation, pushed her to the ground and indecently assaulted her."
After a brief struggle, she managed to break free and ran off.
Ms Cornes said the attacker was described as 20-25 years old with very black skin of skinny build.
He spoke English fluently but with an accent.
