Woman lost in bush after taking a nap

A woman was lost in Wellington bush this evening after taking a nap during an afternoon walk.

A police spokeswoman said a friend of the woman called police around 9pm to say she had gone to meet her friend at the Karori Park bush walk but couldn't find her.

Police had since made contact with the women via cell phone and were in the process of locating her at 9.30pm.

"She went into the bush, had a nap and when she woke up it was dark."

Police found her safe and well shortly after 10pm.
