Two ambulances and two helicopters were deployed. The injured were flown to Dunedin Hospital.

On Friday night, 22-year-old Jonathan Knuiman from Napier was hit by a car on SH2, north of Napier Airport, and died.
The driver of the car had been speaking with police and the Serious Crash Unit had been investigating but there were no further updates last night.
A 17-year-old woman died after a car rolled down a bank on State Highway 35, north of Te Araroa, near Gisborne.
A 1-year-old was also taken to Waikato Hospital in a critical condition.
