Woman killed in road accident named

Police have released the name of a woman killed in a road accident in South Waikato early on Tuesday morning.

Anita Kainuku, 55, was killed while crossing State Highway 1 at Kinleith.

Police said they were still investigating the circumstances, but it seemed she was hit by a truck on a dark and narrow stretch of road.
