Woman killed in farm bike fall

A woman has been killed in a motorbike crash on a West Coast farm this afternoon.

The incident happened at Cape Foulwind, 16km south-west of Westport, about 2.30pm, a southern police communications spokesman told NZPA.

The Department of Labour was investigating.

The fatal accident crash comes a day after a 22-year-old Taranaki woman was critically injured in another farmbike crash on a property in Uruti, 31km north east of Waitara, about 1pm yesterday.

She was airlifted to Taranaki Base Hospital and was later transferred to Wellington Hospital.
