A woman has died after a car hit a power pole in the rural town of Dunsandel last night.
The incident occurred about 9.20pm on Dunsandel and Brookside Rd about 40km west of Christchurch.
Police said the sole occupant of the vehicle, a 38-year-old woman, died in the single vehicle
crash.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
