Police have named the woman who died in a car accident yesterday morning after colliding with a concrete pillar north of Christchurch.
She was Stephanie Louise Ring, 24, from New South Wales in Australia.
Ms Ring died after her car hit the Ohaka overbridge on State Highway 1
at Kaiapoi about 8.15am yesterday.
Sergeant Graeme Crosson, of Kaiapoi police, said Ms Ring had been living and working in New Zealand for some months before the accident.
