Save A woman, killed when her car was hit by a train near Levin, has been named.
She was 68-year-old Rosalyn Sylvia Yong, known as Sylvia.
The crash happened just after 7pm last night on the uncontrolled level crossing near the intersection of Jacksons Road and Koputaroa Road.
The 500m long
freight train was heading towards Palmerston North.
It braked immediately, but travelled around 600m before coming to a complete stop.
