A woman in her 20s had to be winched to safety by rescue helicopter after falling from a walking track onto rocks and hurting her leg.
The Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter was called out to a location north of Waipataki Beach, north of Napier, this afternoon where the woman had
fallen from the walking track to the rocks below and suffered moderate leg injuries.
She was winched out with a St John Paramedic then flown to Hawke's Bay Hospital for further treatment.
