Save Nelson police are examining a car after the body of a 37-year-old woman was brought to the central police station this afternoon.
A homicide investigation has been launched after the body was found in the car about 1.35pm today.
Grant Dicker, who owns the Mint Dining Room restaurant opposite the
police station, said the silver car was taken away on the back of a truck.
A cordon around the area had since been removed, he said.
It is understood charges would be laid this afternoon.
