Woman found dead at Auckland hotel

A woman had been found dead at Auckland's Copthorne Hotel.

A St John spokeswoman said the ambulance service was called to the Quay St hotel at 1.20pm.

The woman was already dead when they arrived, the spokeswoman said.

Police who attended the scene found a woman in a room.

She appeared to have died of "natural causes," police said.

They are now advising next of kin.
