Woman dies in Southland car crash

A 63-year-old woman has died after a crash in Southland this morning.

She was the sole occupant of a car which crashed on Mataura Island-Fortrose Rd.

Police attended the crash at 9.30am before the woman died at the scene.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
