Woman dies after bike crash on Tauranga-Mount Maunganui route

A cyclist injured after a crash in Bay of Plenty last month has died.

Police said the woman was critically injured after hitting a kerb and falling from her bike as she cycled between Tauranga and Mount Maunganui on April 27.

She had been in a critical condition in Waikato Hospital but died yesterday.

Inquiries into the crash continue.
