Woman charged over Gordon's faked death

A woman has been charged over the faked death of Harry Bentley Gordon, who lived in Auckland until recently.

The woman, 30, was charged with conspiracy to defraud and perjury when she appeared yesterday in the Maitland District Court, north of Sydney. She was granted bail with conditions.

Gordon, 56, has admitted faking his own death.

His wife at the time of his disappearance, Sheila Delores Gordon, was charged two weeks ago with conspiracy to defraud AMP Insurance of A$3.5 million and trying to obtain benefit by deception.
