Woman assaulted after finding intruder in her home

Save A woman has been assaulted after interrupting an intruder in her Invercargill home early this morning.
The woman disturbed the unknown intruder, who was inside her Mill Rd South home, about 1.45am, police said.
A brief altercation ensued and the woman was assaulted. She managed to escape and fled the
house, with injuries including facial bruising.
A scene examination has been completed and police were investigating.
