An Australian tourist suffered moderate injuries when she fell from a quad bike this afternoon.
The woman was riding in Oruanui, just north of Taupo, when the accident happened. Emergency services were called at about 3.30pm.
Because of the remoteness of the location, the Taupo-based Greenlea Rescue helicopter was
required to airlift the woman to hospital.
