Ashburton police are appealing to the public to help them locate a black mountain bike and any other items belonging to alleged Winz double murderer Russell John Tully.
In particular, police are looking for an additional firearm and ammunition that Tully may have had in his possession when he allegedly killed Peggy Noble and Leigh Cleveland and seriously wounded Lindy Curtis.
Officers were continuing a thorough search of the Ashburton River area and asked the public to continue to keep away from the area over the weekend.
A spokeswoman said investigators had already located a blue, red and yellow mountain bike "along with a number of other items of interest to the enquiry".

Tully is believed to have been camping at sites along the Ashburton River in the days leading up to the incident and it is possible that there are further items belonging to him in this area.
If you believe you can help police locate these items, you should call the Ashburton police urgently on (03) 307 8411.
