Wind warnings for Hawkes Bay

Areas from Havelock North to Eketahuna are being warned of gusts of wind of up to 110km an hour this afternoon.

MetService have issued a warning to people in the area.

Forecaster Mark Pascoe said the winds have the potential to damage trees and powerlines and could make driving hazardous for high-sided vehicles and motorbikes.
