Whangārei house fire: Five crews battle ‘well involved’ blaze on Morningside Rd

Fire and Emergency are at a residential fire in Whangārei.

A spokesperson said five trucks were at the Morningside Rd house fire, which was “well-involved”.

Fire and Emergency were alerted at 4.04pm and crews from Kamo, Whangārei, Onerahi, Portland and Whangārei OSU have responded.

Smoke and flames can be seen rising from the address in photos and videos posted online.

A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said they have been notified but are not required at this stage.

A police spokesperson said they were assisting Fire and Emergency with traffic management.
