Whangarei CBD brothel limit

Any red-light district in Whangarei looks set to shine only within the confines of the central business district.

But whether prospective clients will be able to find any brothels will depend on a decision on what signage is considered "appropriate".

The Whangarei District Council has agreed to seek public submissions on its proposed brothel control bylaw.

The bylaw would restrict the location of brothels to the "business one" environment, which encompasses the CBD.
