Weta's Taylor misses out on World Entrepreneur title

Richard Taylor, of Weta Workshop & Digital, has missed out on winning the World Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Monaco at the weekend.

Mr Taylor was among 47 business leaders who competed for the title after he was voted New Zealand entrepreneur of the year.

But the award sponsored by Ernst Young went went to Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberte.

In his special effects career, Mr Taylor has won five Oscars and been involved with The Lord Of The Rings trilogy and King Kong.
