All Blacks and Crusaders pivot Richie Mo'unga and girlfriend Sophie Vieceli have announced their engagement on social media this evening.

Mo'unga took to Instagram, posting a photo of Vieceli showing off her ring with a massive grin on her face.

"I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you @sophievieceli," he said.

Vieceli also took to Instagram to share the exciting news, revealing the pair went on a horse riding date before the special moment.

"When a casual date horse riding down the beach turns into the best day of your life! I can't wait to grow old with you @richiemounga," she said.

World Cup-winning All Black Colin Slade was among the first to congratulate Mo'unga, simply writing, "Congrats brother!"

Mo'unga has come off a stellar year of Super Rugby, claiming the title with the Crusaders and igniting a debate whether he should start for the All Blacks ahead of Beauden Barrett.
