One person is in hospital with serious injuries after being trapped between a truck and a skip bin in the Wellington CBD this morning, the Herald understands.
Police were called to Maning Lane at 5am, said a spokeswoman.
Fire and Emergency central shift commander Murray Dunbar saidthe fire service was helping police and ambulance to extricate a person from “a rubbish bin or a rubbish truck”.
WorkSafe has been advised, and members of the public may see an increased presence in the Maning Lane area while inquiries are ongoing.
