Missing Wellington woman, 25, found safe after police appeal

A 25-year-old woman who was missing has now been found.

Police in Wellington had released new pictures of her earlier today.

The CCTV footage was from Lambton Quay, where Alisha was last seen around midday on Wednesday.

Police believe she may have travelled to the Karori area, specifically near Richmond Ave and Wrights Hill.

Residents had been asked to check their CCTV footage or dashcams and their backyards because it was believed she might have discarded some items that could assist in locating her.

A post shared on Instagram by her friends yesterday said she was last seen about 1pm near the cable car.

“The 25-year-old woman last seen on Lambton Quay has been located and is safe,” police said in a Facebook post.

“Thank you everyone who shared our appeal!”

A separate post on a local Facebook page also indicated that she had been found.

A post in a Facebook group indicated she had been found.

A teenager who also went missing in the Wellington region this week, 14-year-old Emily, has since been found.

Police said there had been concerns for her wellbeing, and it had been important that she be returned home.

A statement on Wellington District Police’s Facebook page said: “The 14-year-old girl reported missing from the Porirua area has been located safe and well.”
