Police are searching for a man who went missing at Shelly Beach this afternoon.
The man went into the water in the Kaipara Harbour and failed to resurface, police confirmed.
Emergency services were called at 1pm but the man is still unaccounted for.
Police and the coastguardare in the process of conducting aerial and surface searches in the area.
