Wellington wakes to light quake

The capital has been jolted by a 4.1 quake this morning.

Geonet revised the quake's magniute down from 4.2 which was reported earlier.

The shallow tremor struck 25km south of Paraparaumu at 6.56am.

Geonet said it was just 5km deep and described it as a "light" shake.
