Wellington V8 support drops off

Support for a V8 Supercar street race in Wellington has plummeted with the final results of the public consultation on the race showing 55 per cent of Wellington city submitters favour it, a massive drop from the 73 per cent support shown in interim results.

Analysis of all 11,980 written submissions, including those from outside the capital, showed 76 per cent support, compared with 85 per cent initially.
