Wellington Harbour users asked to stay out of water in inner harbour

Wellington Harbour users are being urged to stay out of the water in the inner harbour due to suspected pollution from sewage.

Wellington Water said it was particularly noticeable around Shed 5, which is near TSB Bank Arena on the waterfront.

It said it was currently investigating the pollution and would update when further information was available.

It said people could protect their health by not swimming in the area and being careful about any contact with the water.
