Welcome to the nation's only Sunday newspaper with growing sales. Latest circulation and readership figures out today continue to show the Herald on Sunday's remarkable growth since its birth just over seven years ago.
The Audit Bureau of Circulations has our average weekly sales figure, for the 12 months endingSeptember 30, at 98,971 - about 900, or nearly 1 per cent, up on the previous 12 months, to the end of July. The news isn't so good for our rivals.
The Sunday Star-Times was down 2542 copies each Sunday and the Sunday News audited under 50,000 copies (down 117 a week) for the second consecutive quarter.
On the readership front, Nielsen figures have us holding overall, but growing in our key market of Taupo north. We're at 382,000 readers aged 15+ any given Sunday, just 1000 down on a year ago. But we are up 2.1 per cent (5000) in the Auckland area.
LAST WEEK, we dubbed the All Blacks the Unshakeables - and after they proved us right in their World Cup triumph, newspapers from the Australian to the Sun echoed our description.
Today, our focus turns to the November 26 general election, beginning with our nationwide Key Research phone poll of nearly 1200 voters - revealing bad news for one party leader.
You get four ticks next month: two for who you want to represent you in Wellington; two for the voting system we should use. Our team of staff reporters are on the campaign trail, joined by television funny man Hadyn Jones.
We want you to be part of our election campaign coverage. This week, the Herald on Sunday is looking for The Average New Zealand Household. It could be your family - just go to nzherald.co.nz/averagenz to find out.
