TVNZ and TV3 are wrangling over a website address for the current affairs show 60 Minutes.
An internet search for the New Zealand version of the 60 Minutes website - www.60minutes.co.nz - redirects web surfers to Sunday, the local current affairs show TVNZ created after ditching 60 Minutes.
TV3 picked
up the rights to the American programme but TVNZ has not relinquished the web address to its competitor. Now the networks are at odds over whether an agreement has been reached to release the address to TV3.
TV3 spokesman Roger Beaumont said a verbal agreement had been made to release the address at no cost.
However, TVNZ spokesman Glen Sowry said no agreement had been reached, and price was one of the issues under discussion.
"We started discussions only in the last week or so, to look at how that transfer could take place. Nothing has been agreed as yet."
The address was originally directed to Sunday to promote the show, he said.
