Weather warning issued for Fiordland

MetService has issued a severe weather watch as heavy rain is expected for Fiordland tonight and tomorrow.

While rainfall is expected to remain below warning amounts, MetService advises people in this area to keep up to date with forecasts in case a full warning becomes necessary.

A front near southern Fiordland is expected to move slowly northwards tomorrow. This front is preceded by moist northwesterlies bringing periods of rain to Fiordland, with a few heavy falls there from tonight through Thursday.
