Weather warning for Fiordland

A severe weather warning has been issued by MetService with heavy rain expected today and tomorrow in Fiordland.

MetService said a slow moving front over southwest Fiordland this morning would move over central Fiordland.

A moist north to northwest flow associated with the front is expected to bring rain to Fiordland today and tomorrow, it said.

The heaviest falls are expected from 8am this morning until midnight tonight, with 80 to 120mm accumulating.
