Save A pod of daring orcas has come close to the Kapiti Coast shoreline for the second time in recent weeks.
Herald videographer Mark Mitchell captured footage of orcas swimming just metres from the Paekakariki shore on the Kapiti Coast yesterday.
Another pod was seen at the same spot about four
or five weeks ago.
About 20 holidaymakers stopped to watch the orcas yesterday.
At one point in the video, an orca is seen swimming between two stand-up paddleboarders and a swimmer.
