"Bad enough driving to there in summer, in snow you exercised extreme faith," one person wrote.
"Beautiful, but not a nice road to drive even on a fine day, you were brave (or foolish) hope you didn't attempt it frozen," another said.
The stretch of road is the third most dangerous in the world, according to an international watchdog website.
Automobile Association general manager of motoring affairs, Mike Noon, said it was not a surprise Skippers Canyon Rd was on the list of most dangerous roads.
"I have been on it before on a tour van but would not choose to drive it myself.
"It has spectacular views but it is a pretty hairy stretch, especially on the corners."
