Balcony death victim Warriena Wright's New Zealand-based family will be contacted by the Queensland Coroner's Office before it decides whether to hold an inquest into her death.
Last week it was revealed investigations into 26-year-old Wright's death had been reopened by the Coroner.
Wright died after she plunged 14 floorsfrom her Tinder date Gable Tostee's Surfers Paradise high-rise balcony in August 2014.

Tostee was acquitted of the New Zealander's murder and manslaughter after a two-week Supreme Court trial in October this year.
Police immediately referred the case back to the Coroner. The Coroner can make recommendations such as criminal charges and suggested measures to improve public safety.
Tostee went on social media immediately and dismissed the investigation as a non-event.
