Warkworth shooting probed

Police are still investigating whether the fatal shooting of a young Warkworth mother was accidental. The 20-year-old died shortly after being driven to the Kowhai Health and Medical Centre by her partner on Friday afternoon.

A 21-year-old man has appeared in the North Shore District Court charged with illegal possession of a sawn-off shotgun and remanded to reappear later this week. His name and any details identifying the victim were suppressed.
