Emergency services have been called to reports of a person being pinned under a tractor in Taupiri, in the Waikato.

The incident happened on Wright St.

Northern Fire Service spokesman Jaron Phillips said the man had been freed before the fire crews arrived at the scene.

The injured man was taken to Waikato Hospital with moderate injuries, a St John ambulance spokesperson said.
