Waikato Hospital redevelopment delay

The planned $215 million redevelopment of Waikato and Thames hospitals is still waiting for Government approval, one month after a decision was hoped for.

Health Minister Annette King said in December she would take the proposal to Cabinet "immediately after Christmas".

But a Health Ministry spokeswoman said yesterday the Cabinet was not due to look at the proposal until early March.
