People have made offerings of flowers, candles and cards outside the French Embassy in Wellington, in memory of people killed in the Paris terrorist attacks.
"Thoughts to my family and friends in Paris," one message read.
The shrine appeared in the past 24 hours.

The French and European Union flagsthat normally fly outside the embassy have both been removed since yesterday afternoon.
At the Anglican Cathedral of St Paul across the road from Parliament, candles were lit and a prayer of condolence written in memory of the terrorism victims.
In Dunedin, about a hundred people, mostly French now living in Dunedin, gathered in the Octagon to support the victims of terrorist attacks in the French capital.
The vigil was organised by local French language and culture group Alliance Francaise de Dunedin.
The group has organised a minute's silence at noon tomorrow Paris time (12am Tuesday NZ time) by the peace pole in front of the Otago Museum.
