The victim of an alleged kidnapping in Napier was found near a property searched by the police today.
"The victim has received serious injuries and is being treated in hospital," the police said.
Detective Inspector Mike Foster said three Napier men aged 23, 31 and 39 have been jointly charged with kidnapping and wounding with the intention of causing grievous bodily harm.
Police responded to the incident just before 9am.
One alleged offender was arrested in the Whakatu locality between Napier and Hastings.
Soon after that, the Hawke's Bay Armed Offenders Squad executed a search warrant at a property in Napier.
"The victim was located a short distance from this location, and a further two offenders were arrested," the police said.
They three men are due to appear in Napier District Court on Monday.
No one else is being sought in relation to the incident.
