Vehicle catches fire while towing caravan

A vehicle towing a caravan in Northland is on fire.

Police and Fire are attending the incident on State Highway One near the summit of the Brynderwyn's.

Both lanes of the road are currently blocked and there are large delays to traffic.

It's unclear whether anyone is hurt.

Police are advising motorists to avoid this area.
