Police investigating the disappearance and suspected homicide of Palmerston North man Brett Hall are calling for sightings of a vehicle which has become the focus of their investigation.
Mr Hall, 47, was last seen around the end of May at his lifestyle block at Pitangi Track, north of Wanganui.
Afteran intensive search which found no sign of Mr Hall, police decided to treat the case as a homicide.
Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Kirby said police inquiries were focusing on the movements of a dark grey Nissan Terrano which was seen near the Pitangi Track around the time that Mr Hall went missing.
The vehicle was also in the Bulls, Santoft Forest and Scotts Ferry area around the time he went missing, Mr Kirby said.
Police wanted to hear from anyone who had seen the vehicle between noon May 27 and noon on May 31.
"We believe that information on this vehicle and its movements could be crucial to finding Mr Hall and establishing what happened to him," Mr Kirby said
Mr Hall's past has earlier been described by police as "chequered". He was paroled from prison in 2009 after serving a sentence of seven-and-a-half years for dealing "a variety of drugs", receiving, and unlawfully possessing a pistol.
