We are looking for physically fit, energetic people to join our Katikati team. Key aspects to these roles are great communication, a keen eye for detail and being firmly safety and production orientated.
There are both Sawmill table hand and Remanufacturing hand vacancies. Sawmill table hand work will be pulling timber from the round table and stacking it into packets of predetermined sizes. Remanufacturing general hand work involves feeding in, stacking finished product, operating machine centres and assisting the timber machinists to ensure the plant and equipment is maintained to a satisfactory standard. A variety of shift patterns are available. Previous experience in this industry is not necessary but may be an advantage, as would a forklift licence. These positions require a high level of physical fitness.
This is also a vacancy for a timber filleter. You will be filleting packets of timber to high quality standards at piece rates to a set target number of packets per day. There may be some general yard duties, paid on an hourly basis. Previous experience as a filleter is required. Start time is 7am. You must be a reliable self-starter that is prepared to turn up every day and meet set targets, occasional Saturday work may also be a part of the position.
You must be capable of working alone and be able to closely follow instructions. Claymark operates a zero tolerance, drug free site and all potential employees will be drug tested prior to employment. You will have an impeccable safety record. If you have what it takes, we would like to hear from you.
You must be eligible to work in New Zealand to apply. Please ensure your application includes a brief work history and at least two referees.
