A visiting gong guru is set to dish out some good vibrations to Wairarapa people next month.
US-based gong master and holistic healer Don Conreaux and two other performers are to give demonstrations with a range of gongs at Carterton's Stonehenge Aotearoa.

Wednesday, March 11, the trio will hold a full moon "gong bath" that night, as well as a gong-playing workshop the following Friday and a finale session on the Saturday night.
Victoria Greenwitch Brown, who is organising the visit alongside Masterton business Soulscapes, said the sessions would prove a unique opportunity and an "unforgettable experience" for those attending.
"Don will be playing different-sized gongs and showing how each sound has resonating effects in different areas of the body, healing its physical, emotional and spiritual elements."
She said Stonehenge Aotearoa's "bubble-like" acoustics and layout make it an ideal venue and performances with flutes, drums and harps had been successfully held there before.
"The shape of the stone circle actually submerges you in the sound. It's designed so that you can actually hear someone whispering from the other side of the circle.
"If you lie down within the circle, the gongs' resonance has soothing effects and helps put you into a meditative state."
In an explanation of "gong healing", Mr Conreaux said the gong is really an "engine of power" more than a musical instrument.
"The energy that comes through the gong is not just a fundamental tone, but all the tones combined to create a wall of sound rather like a tsunami, a great wave," he said.
"The universal gong sound is based upon the musical principle that all tones of equal amplitude keep resonating, adding to themselves, to produce cumulative offspring, so to speak.
"This phenomenon is unique to gongs and replicates exactly what happens in the building of the human physical, mental emotional and spiritual bodies."
Mr Conreaux will be stopping by the region as part of an international tour and Ms Brown hopes he may be able to hold school workshops during the time he is here.
"Everyone is welcome to come along to the sessions at our events we have everybody from elderly people to babies turn up."
