Under way on Round North Island race (+photos)

- Just entering Tiri Channel 15 miles north of Auckland - sheets just cracked so not a great angle with only 28 feet of length. However, hanging in ok.

We were late to the start as were only pulling 4 or so knots under our engine.

We now know the slow speed was due to weed washed in during the storm yesterday.

On the upside, our new Key West wet weather gear arranged during yesterday's

delay

is doing a great job.

Now waiting for expected wind shift and some swell past Kawau.

Better get back on the rail.
