U2 return dates yet to be settled, say promoters

The promoters for U2 have yet to hear when the Irish rockers will be back in NZ for two shows, despite media reports that the band will play on October 21 and 22.

"We don't know anything about the October dates, so I don't know why that's being speculated," said Bridget de Launay of de Launay Enterprises.

"I've been in touch with the [Australasian office] and they've heard nothing. The only thing we've been talking about is November and we've been waiting for an official date."

U2's two shows, originally scheduled for March, were postponed after a close family member of one of the band fell ill.
