Save A 2-year-old girl has drowned in a duck pond on a Southland farm.
She was recovered from a property at Otapiri about 8.40pm.
Police and volunteer firefighters attempted CPR but the child was unresponsive.
The girl went missing about 6.30pm. Family and farm workers searched for an hour before reporting
her disappearance to police.
All three emergency services attended.
