Two taken to hospital after Mt Albert crash

Two cars were involved in the crash on Richardson Rd in Mt Albert.

Two people have been taken to hospital and a road is closed after a car crash in central Auckland.

The two cars crashed on Richardson Rd, Mt Albert, at 6.23am. One person has critical injuries and another has moderate injuries.

Both have been taken to Auckland City Hospital.

Auckland Transport tweeted that the Richardson Rd is closed between Hendon and Owairaka Aves.

Sandringham Rd bus services have also been disrupted and travellers are advised to expect delays.
