Police seek second vehicle after an alleged illegal street race ends in serious crash. Both people in the car that crashed were transported to Middlemore.
Two people have been critically injured after suspected illegal car racing in south Auckland.
A car crashed into a tree and rolled on Arnwood St, Manurewa around 11.30pm.
Two people were trapped and had to be cut free.
They were taken to Middlemore Hospital with critical injuries.
The Police SeriousCrash Unit is investigating but a police spokeswoman said initial inquiries indicate a second vehicle may have been racing the car at the time of the crash.
