Two people were rescued by emergency services after the boat they were in capsized at the Little Waihi Bar at Maketu in the Western Bay of Plenty this afternoon.
Police, Coastguard, Maketu Fire and Midlands Ambulance assisted in the rescue, Inspector Scott Webb, of the police northern communications centre, said.
